The Polis Center at IUPUI has named Sharon Kandris associate director. She has worked with the center for the past 18 years and most recently served as director of community informatics. Kandris was named a Hoosier Fellow of the Randall L. Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence, serves on the United Way of Central Indiana Community Impact Committee and is a partner with the Indiana Geographic Information Council. She earned a master’s degree in geography from the University of North Carolina and received a BA in geography from Northwest Missouri State University.
