The Indianapolis Airport Authority says a new service plaza, with a gas station and convenience store, should open this month. Construction is in the final stages and the authority has announced the brand names that will be located in the development near the state's largest airport. September 4, 2013

(Indianapolis, IND.) – The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) and Petroleum Marketing Group (PMG) have confirmed the brands that will soon be open for business when the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) Service Plaza begins operations this month. On or about September 16th, a Circle K convenience store and 24-hour Shell fueling services will mark the start of Service Plaza operations.

Fueling options will include all levels of unleaded gasoline, as well as diesel and compressed natural gas. A total of 24 fueling positions will be operational on or about September 16th, while carwash, automobile detailing, and quick lube services will be added beginning September 23rd.

Opening by the end of October will be a Subway restaurant, followed by a Petro’s Chili and Chips, which will open by year’s end.

Currently in the last stages of construction, the much anticipated Service Plaza is located on the south side of Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive and will be easily accessible to all vehicles arriving and departing the passenger terminal at IND, as well as to employees working at the IND campus.

A flight-information display monitor, located inside the Circle K, will provide up-to-date information on flights arriving and departing IND, and the Service Plaza will also offer a public men’s and women’s restrooms.
