Plans Move Forward for Housing Units in Former LMU Plant

The Pharos Tribune reports Logansport Mayor Dave Kitchell says the area is “prime real estate for housing,” and would meet a need in the community.
The publication reports a Carmel-based developer discussed the idea of converting the former Logansport Municipal Utilities generating plant in the 800 block of Race Street into housing units with city officials last year.
“It will allow us to put a property on the property tax rolls that has never been on them, it will help revitalize that neighborhood and it will address a portion of the housing deficit we have in the community,” Kitchell said.
