Pistole Interviewed For FBI Director Job

Subscribe NowThe president of Anderson University is being considered to serve as the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. John Pistole, a former deputy director of the FBI, met Tuesday with President Donald Trump about the position. Trump also spoke with former Assistant Attorney General Chris Wray.
Pistole worked for the FBI from 1983 to 2010 and was appointed to deputy director in 2004. He was named the head of the Transportation Security Administration in 2010 by President Barack Obama. He held that role until 2014 when he became president of Anderson University.
Wray served as assistant attorney general from 2003 to 2005 where he led the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Division. He was a member of the President’s Corporate Fraud Task Force and led several fraud investigations, including the Enron Task Force.
The person selected for the position will succeed James Comey, who was fired earlier this month.
