Less than two months after becoming chief executive officer of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, Phil D’Amico has left the position. The chamber’s board of directors says it has decided to go in a different direction and has selected Anne Bono, who served as interim CEO prior to D’Amico’s hiring, to resume that position.

A specific reason for the change was not released. Bono will serve as interim CEO in addition to her regular duties as director of advocacy and public policy.

"The Board wishes Phil the best of luck with his future endeavors," the board said in a statement this week. "Anne Bono has proven to be an outstanding leader of the Chamber and Chamber Advocacy. We look forward to moving forward as strong as ever."

The board says it will form a search committee to find a permanent CEO.
