News Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Northwind Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has announced the purchase of the packaging operation of Tri-Point Rx, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Tri-Point's operations will be combined with Northwind’s existing operations at the Northwind headquarters on Indianapolis' far northeast side.
Northwind Pharmaceuticals CEO Phillip Berry said the acquisition “will enhance our ability to serve our medical clinic customers that offer in-office dispensing to their patients.” Northwind, founded in Indianapolis in 1981, provides ready-to-dispense medications, software and packaging for a complete dispensing solution to clinics throughout the US. Among clients are employer worksite clinics, student health centers and hospital managed medical practices, as well as other health providers including primary care offices, surgery centers, urgent care centers, occupational health centers, bariatric clinics, dentist offices, pediatric practitioners, and government managed health clinics.
Northwind anticipates adding eight employees to its Indianapolis staff as a result of the purchase, Berry said.
