PGA TOUR Superstore to Open in Indy

A popular golf retailer will Saturday open its first location in Indiana. The PGA TOUR Superstore in Indianapolis replaces the recently-closed Babies"R"Us at the Clearwater Crossing Shopping Center.

In addition to the products being sold in the store, the new location features a 1,400-square-foot putting green (pictured below) and will offer clinics and lessons from certified teaching professionals. Dick Sullivan, chief executive officer of PGA TOUR Superstore, says the store is "radically different" than other golf retailers.

"Indianapolis is a community that caters to golfers in terms of quality, accessibility and affordability of golf," Sullivan said in a news release. "With more than 400 golf courses across Indiana, we are thrilled to bring our unique in-store experience to the region."

The retailer is celebrating the grand opening of the new location with $30,000 in giveaways, including equipment and apparel, to the first guests in line. The store is also partnering with The First Tee of Indiana and donating $10,000 toward the organization’s efforts.

The grand opening celebration is set for 9:00 a.m. at the store, located at 3298 East 82nd Street.
