Pepsi Lands Contract With Central Indiana School
Center Grove Community School Corp. has inked a deal with PepsiCo Inc. (NYSE: PEP) for the exclusive rights to sell beverages in its schools. Our partners at the Daily Journal report Pepsi will pay the district more than $480,000 over five years as part of the agreement. The paper reports the corporation had a contract with Coca-Cola Co.'s (NYSE: KO) for the past seven years. Coke's offer for a new contract was just over $250,000.
The publication says Pepsi has also agreed to lower the costs for the drinks.
