South Bend-based Peoplelink Staffing Solutions has acquired MEP Inc. of Dallas, Texas. The deal gives the Indiana company a larger presence in cities including Dallas, Austin and Phoenix. It also expands Peoplelink's construction trades brand. December 9, 2013

News ReleaseSOUTH BEND, Ind. – Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, the South Bend (IN) based staffing firm, has announced the acquisition of MEP, Inc. a skilled trades contract staffing company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. With MEP's locations in Dallas, Houston and Austin Texas, as well as Phoenix, Arizona, this acquisition vastly expands Peoplelink’s construction trades brand.

According to W. “Jay” Wilkinson, Peoplelink’s President and CEO, “This acquisition, along with recent Trade Resources, Inc. in East Texas, is yet another “perfect fit” for the Peoplelink organization. MEP is a strong player in the trades staffing market and their business model will complement the People/links profit center operating model.” Wilkinson goes on to explain that “this acquisition will improve our footprint in the South Central Region of the U.S., and will provide for additional growth in the trades specialty niche. The acquisition will bring a talented staff of veterans and will provide the current MEP clients with even more choices and higher levels of staffing support and human capital services.

Danny Barnett, MEP’s Owner said that, “The resources and leadership of Peoplelink, coupled with the model and expertise of MEP, have our entire staff excited about future opportunities. We feel this was a very natural fit and I expect MEP to be a solid contributor to the Trade Management offering as well as the overall Peoplelink vision.”

Peoplelink operates offices throughout the Midwest, Northeast, Southeast and Plain States. Peoplink is a multiple recipient of both INC 500 and 5000 lists of fastest growing privately held firms and currently one of the 100 largest staffing companies in the United States, according to Staffing Industry Analysts.
