Governor Mike Pence has announced appointees to the Indiana Gaming Commission. They include the president of a CPA firm and a Crown Point attorney, as well as the reappointment of an Evansville law firm's managing partner. February 4, 2014

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Governor Mike Pence today named appointees to the Indiana Gaming Commission.

Anita Sherman, of Indianapolis, has been named to the Indiana Gaming Commission. Sherman serves as President of Greenwalt CPAs, Inc., where she has worked since 1985. In September of 2010, she was named President of the firm. Sherman, a graduate of Manchester University, was named the 2012 Indiana CPA Society’s Distinguished Service Award, the 2010 Manchester University Alumni Honor Award, and as an Indianapolis Business Journal's 2010 Woman of Influence. Her term is effective immediately, and she will serve until August 31, 2016.

Joseph Svetanoff, an attorney at Harris Law Firm, has been named to the Commission. Svetanoff, of Crown Point, previously served as a public defender with the Town of Merrillville Criminal Court. He earned his undergraduate degree from Butler University and his law degree from Valparaiso University. His term is effective immediately, and he will serve until August 31, 2015.

Marc Fine, of Evansville, has been reappointed to the Indiana Gaming Commission. Fine, of Evansville, currently serves as Managing Partner at Rudolph, Fine, Porter & Johnson. Former an associate attorney with Fine & Hatfield, Fine earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his law degree from the University of Illinois. He has been recognized by the AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rated for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability and was named Super Lawyer in 2005 by the Law and Politics publishers of Indianapolis Monthly Magazine-Corporate Law. Fine’s term is effective immediately, and he will serve until August 31, 2016.
