Governor Mike Pence has named Carolene Mays-Medley executive director of the White River State Park Development Commission. She succeeds Bob Whitt, who recently left to become president of Indianapolis-based Sun King Brewing Co. Mays-Medley most recently served as vice-chairman and commissioner of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, a position to which she was appointed by former Governor Mitch Daniels in 2010 and reappointed by Pence in 2014. She also serves as the chairperson of the Critical Infrastructure Committee for the National Association of Utility Regulatory Commissioners. Mays-Medley is a former member of  the Indiana House of Representatives and was publisher and president of the Indianapolis Recorder newspaper and the Indiana Minority Business Magazine.
