Pence Appoints Two to IU Board of Trustees

Former IU basketball star and current Indiana Pacers executive Quinn Buckner and Melanie Walker, chief executive officer of Tsuchiya Group North America, will each serve three-year terms. Buckner is an IU graduate who was a part of the university’s undefeated NCAA championship team and the gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic team in 1976. He currently serves as the analyst for the Indiana Pacers’ television broadcasts. Walker also serves as president of the company’s five subsidiaries, including TASUS Corp. in Bloomington. She is the president of the Japan America Society of Indiana and serves on several boards, including the State of Indiana Workforce Innovation Council, Indiana Economic Development Corp. and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
