Paydar to be Installed as IUPUI Chancellor

Paydar joined IUPUI's faculty in 1985 as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering.

Nasser Paydar will be installed Tuesday as the fifth chancellor of IUPUI. Indiana University President Michael McRobbie, Purdue University President Mitch Daniels and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard will participate in the ceremony.

The event is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Room 450 of the IUPUI Campus Center. The center is located at 420 University Blvd.

Paydar succeeds Charles Bantz, who stepped down after 12 years in the position.

Paydar joined IUPUI in 1985 as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering. He has held several administrative and executive leadership positions at the school.
