The Metropolitan Development Commission has granted preliminary tax abatement approval for Indianapolis-based Patriot Engineering and Environmental Inc. on its planned headquarters relocation. The company says it has outgrown its current space and the move will help accommodate 30 new jobs by 2020.
The proposal is slated to head to the MDC for final approval January 6.
Patriot says much of the $500,000 investment will support soil testing equipment and other research and development technology. The company currently employs 60 and says the relocation will help retain those jobs. In all, Patriot has offices in 10 states.
The new location was previously used by Stanley Security.
