Patachou Foundation to Begin Construction on ‘Kitchen HQ’
The Patachou Foundation says it will begin construction on a 4,000 square-foot headquarters called “Kitchen HQ." The new location will house a commercial kitchen equipped to prepare the more than 1,000 meals it serves at eight Indianapolis schools each week.
The Patachou Foundation prepares, serves and delivers meals to children experiencing homelessness, hunger and poverty. The foundation currently operates from kitchen space shared with Patachou Inc. restaurant group, owned by the foundation’s founder Martha Hoover.
“Since its inception, The Patachou Foundation has been an example of new philanthropic normative values,” said Hoover, “The Patachou Foundation will continue to operate in the manner of a lean and entrepreneurial start-up with a strategic eye on smart growth and measured impact.”
The Patachou Foundation will hold a celebration to kick off the construction of Kitchen HQ on February 27. At the event, The Patachou Foundation will launch a campaign to close the $100,000 gap needed to fund the $750,000 project.
