News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Matthew Feltrop has been named The Patachou Foundation’s new Executive Director and will help lead the organization in its efforts to feed healthy after-school meals to at risk and food-insecure children throughout central Indiana.

Feltrop has significant experience in nonprofits, including volunteer program management and fundraising. Prior to joining The Patachou Foundation, Feltrop worked at Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, where he served as an immigration law paralegal and Spanish language interpreter; and Covenant Christian High School, as the head of the World Languages Department and advancement associate.

“Our board was very enthusiastic about Matthew’s commitment, creativity and passion for the work we are doing,” said Martha Sanders Hoover, President, Patachou Inc. “His strategic thinking and big ideas will be a great benefit as we work to build more partnerships and serve more children through our programs.”

Feltrop will lead the organization and help create its strategic plan, focusing on fundraising and growth. He will help create its educational programming and increase the number of children being served, while also serving as a key liaison between The Patachou Foundation and community organizations working toward creating a solution to the problem of childhood hunger in Indianapolis.

“The foundation’s growth is definitely at a tipping point. I look forward to creating a stronger and more impactful organization,” said Feltrop. “Everyone can find pleasure in food. It is truly exciting to harness that reality and use it to inspire youth in our community to make healthy decisions for their lives.”

Feltrop holds a Bachelors of Art in Spanish and Associates of Science in Computer Graphics Technology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and serves as Board Secretary of The Gathering Together in Plainfield, Indiana.
