A new condominium and townhome community is coming to the historic Chatham-Arch neighborhood in Indianapolis. Construction on the more than 80 homes at Park 10 has started and officials say some of the residences will be available in the fall.

News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. – To meet a growing demand for home ownership in downtown Indianapolis, Park 10 residences in the historic Chatham-Arch neighborhood are now under construction.

Milhaus is developing the 84 multi-family for-sale residences in five structures in the historic Chatham-Arch neighborhood. The homes at 10th and Broadway are within walking distance of the Monon Trail and many great restaurants, shopping, parks and schools near Mass Ave. There will be one, two and three bedroom floor plans, some with optional den areas as well. The first residences will be available in the fall of 2015.

“We’re seeing a tremendous increase in interest in for-sale homes from a wide range of potential buyers from those in the suburbs to those in urban apartments. They want the ability to personalize their space and create a long-term home,” said Micah Hill, director of for-sale housing, Milhaus. “In a survey of our current apartment residents alone, 90% were interested in buying a home in the next 5 years, preferably in an urban setting.”

The development will include 28 town homes with attached 2 car parking garages as well as private entrances and outdoor spaces. Both two and three bedroom options are available in a vertical living, open floorplan design. The 56 flats are designed for living on one level with open floorplans and large balconies. There are common entrances and hallways. Heated and enclosed parking is available.

Both types of units offer hardwood floors in living rooms and kitchens, stone or quartz countertops, as well as energy efficient appliances and lighting. Bathrooms will also include tile floors and showers.

New homeowners can customize their spaces by choosing from a wide range of interior finishes. Small front yards highlight the townhome exteriors and common outdoor spaces surround the flats. Exterior maintenance is included in the association fees. All of the residences will bring the comfort of new construction warranties. Park 10 is close to the Monon trail and the vibrant Mass Ave District with shopping, dining, entertainment and schools.

“We’re focused on designs that enhance the living experience,” added Hill. “For example, people want open floor plans with lots of space in the kitchen and entertainment area where they can work or their children can do homework from a wireless device. There’s a lot less demand for smaller dedicated rooms for offices or dens.”

Cheryl Hester has joined Milhaus as the representative for the for-sale homes. In addition to Park 10, Milhaus also offers an additional development at 13th and Central with 6 high-end townhomes.
