A Hammond-based wood pallet manufacturer is eyeing significant growth in northwest Indiana. The South Bend Tribune reports Calumet Pallet Co. could create up to 115 jobs as part of an expansion in Michigan City. Plans call for the company to pump $2.7 into a new facility.
The company currently employs around three dozen workers.
Calumet Pallet builds, repairs and recycles pallets and repurposes unusable parts into mulch, animal bedding and playground surfaces.
