The owner of the Indiana Pacers says he “wholeheartedly” endorses the National Basketball Association's decision to ban Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life. In a statement, Herb Simon commended Commissioner Adam Silver for his “swift, strong and decisive action” in response to racist remarks attributed to Sterling.

Statement from Indiana Pacers Owner Herb Simon:

“I wholeheartedly endorse Commissioner Adam Silver's swift, strong and decisive action with regard to Donald Sterling. These past days have been both sad and disturbing for the NBA family. It is our responsibility to continue as models of the diversity and inclusion the NBA has long and justly represented.”
