Pacers: Mad Ants Staying Put Pacers Sports & Entertainment acquired the Mad Ants last year.

Pacers Sports & Entertainment President Rick Fuson says there is "no truth whatsoever" to rumors that the team is planning on moving its NBA Developmental League team to another Indiana city. In a statement, Fuson says the Pacers will continue to build the Fort Wayne Mad Ants into a "model D-League franchise."

Pacers Sports & Entertainment acquired the Mad Ants last year. The group also manages the Pacers, Indiana Fever and Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The organization was previously owned by Fort Wayne Basketball Group LLC. The team won the D-League championship in 2014.

Fuson’s statement is below:

"Pacers Sports & Entertainment has learned that there have been rumors of a possible move of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants to another Indiana city. PS&E categorically states that there is no truth whatsoever to these rumors. As our first season of ownership concludes, we look forward to building the Mad Ants into a model D-League franchise that well serves the Fort Wayne community on and off the court."
