News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — Indiana Sports Corp. has announced that Indiana Pacers radio play-by-play voice Mark Boyle will emcee the 2014 Pathfinder Awards Luncheon. The event will feature Boyle's friend, colleague and longtime broadcast partner with the Pacers, Bobby “Slick” Leonard. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5 at 11:30 a.m. at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.

“We could not be more excited to have Mark Boyle emcee our 2014 Pathfinder Awards Luncheon,” said Allison Melangton, President of Indiana Sports Corp. “Getting the opportunity to honor 'Slick' is excitement in itself, but to have Mark be the emcee and a big part of this just makes it a very special event.”

Boyle has done the radio play-by-by alongside Leonard's color commentary since the 1994-95 season.

Before coming to Indiana, Boyle held broadcast positions in Minneapolis, St. Louis and New York. He was one of the on-air voices for WFAN in New York, the country's first all-sports radio station. Boyle has also had broadcast experience in the NHL, NFL, MLB and Big Ten Football and Basketball.

During his summers and offseason time, Boyle has broadcast minor league baseball games as well as become an active supporter of several local charities. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Blind Children's Foundation and the Indiana Children's Wish Fund, just to name a few.

Boyle has twice been named Indiana's Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association. He has been recognized by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine as a top talk show host in Indianapolis and he was inducted into the Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame in April 2013.
