Indianapolis-based Pac-Van Inc. is once again adding to its portfolio. The storage and office space solutions company has acquired the storage container, office container and mobile office rental fleet of Louisiana-based Gauthiers’ On-Site Storage. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Pac-Van did not immediately state whether any jobs would be affected by the deal. Jody Miller, president of Pac-Van parent General Finance Corp. (Nasdaq: GFN), says the acquisition helps the company reach its goal of growing the Pac-Van brand throughout the country.
"With this acquisition of the assets from Gauthiers’ On-Site Storage, we now have two locations in southern Louisiana, nearly 1500 additional units in our fleet and 11 new professionals on the team," said Miller. "Southern Louisiana is home to many large manufacturers, chemical plants and related industries, and it provides significant opportunities for Pac-Van to deliver its portable storage and office space solutions."
Pac-Van says Gauthiers’ will continue to specialize in offshore equipment for oil and gas industry customers. The deal follows Pac-Van’s acquisition in September of Texas-based Advantage Trailer LLC’s storage container and office container fleet.
