The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor is seeking public comment on the plan, which would include rate increases for consumers.
The proposed projects include the installation and replacement of aging infrastructure, including substations, transformers, poles and lines. It also includes the replacement of municipal street lights with LED technology. The projects would be done between 2016 through 2022.
Rate increases under the plan would vary each year between 2017 and 2022. They would range between 0.4 percent and 1.3 percent annually. Any rate adjustments would be subject to approval by the OUCC and the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
The OUCC is accepting written consumer comments through March 17. The organization will file testimony on the plan with the IURC on March 24.
