News Release
WARSAW, Ind. – OrthoWorx announced today that, through the support of OrthoWorx Match Campaign donors and Lilly Endowment Inc., the organization generated more than $2.5 million through the Orthopedics Capital Foundation (OCF). This is in addition to the $4 million grant the Endowment awarded to OCF, bringing the total to over $6.5 million to continue and expand OrthoWorx educational and charitable initiatives.
“Given the three-month timeframe of the campaign, we are delighted with the commitment shown by our donors to the important work we do in building on our region’s strengths,” stated OrthoWorx President and CEO Sheryl Conley. “Lilly Endowment extended a unique dollar-for- dollar match opportunity to OrthoWorx for eligible donations or pledges received by October 15, 2013. We want to thank all who pledged a total of $1,265,480, which was matched by the Endowment, doubling the amount available to invest in our community to more than $2.5 million.”
Although the campaign has ended, Conley said the organization invites the support of others to help continue to bring the community more projects like the new Medical Device Quality Management Degree Program at Grace College, the Krebs Park Bicycle/Pedestrian Trailhead, the U.S. 30 Upgrade Coalition, continued growth of STEM education across our region and deeper connections with Indiana’s higher education institutions for an improved innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
