OrthoPediatrics Divests Vilex Adult Patient Assets

Warsaw-based OrthoPediatrics Corp. (Nasdaq: KIDS) has completed the sale of substantially all of the adult-patient related product lines from Vilex in Tennessee Inc., a company located which OrthoPediatrics acquired in June.

Squadron Capital LLC has purchased the Vilex adult business assets and will operate that company as Vilex LLC.

“We were encouraged with the high level of interest we received for the Vilex Adult Business during a competitive bidding process last fall,” said Mark Throdahl, president and chief executive officer of OrthoPediatrics Corp.

Throdahl says the divestiture demonstrates the company’s strategic plan to position OrthoPediatrics for future growth in the orthopediatric treatment for children.
