A multi-day event celebrating Indiana innovation that debuted last year will not return this year. In a joint release, INX organizer inXInnovate LTD and the Venture Club of Indiana say INX, originally scheduled for September 18-19 in Indianapolis, has been canceled. The groups cite "unforeseen circumstances" for the cancellation.
Last year’s event, which took place at The Union 525 in downtown Indianapolis, featured events including the Venture Club’s Innovation Showcase, TechPoint’s Winners’ Circle and "An Almost Fail," organized by Launch Fishers.
The Venture Club of Indiana says it is working to reschedule the Innovation Showcase. If it is not able to do so, the organization says it will work to make "alternate arrangements" so regional pitch competition winners still have a forum to showcase their companies. Jeffersonville-based Inscope Medical Solutions took the top prize in last year’s showcase, earning a $100,000 prize package.
