Organizations Receive Arts United Funding

Fort Wayne-based Arts United has announced recipients of more than $680,000 in grants. They include over 70 organizations in 12 counties. The nonprofit funding and local arts agency has also launched its annual fundraising campaign, which is targeting $1.1 million.
Arts United says it is the third-oldest fund of its kind in the country. Nearly 3,000 donors and foundations contributed to the 2016 fund drive.
This year’s recipients are:

- Fort Wayne Civic Theatre
- Fort Wayne Dance Collective
- Fort Wayne Museum of Art
- Fort Wayne Philharmonic
- Fort Wayne Youtheatre
- The History Center
- Unity Performing Arts Foundation
A portion will fund internships at the following organizations:
- ARCH – Historic Preservation Specialist
- Artlink – Education and Outreach Internship
- Fort Wayne Cinema Center – Graphic Design Internship
- Fort Wayne Civic Theatre – Technical Production Internship
- Fort Wayne Dance Collective – Arts Administration and
- Event Production Internship
- FAME – FAME Festival Internship
- Fort Wayne Youtheatre – Administration Internship
- Arts United – Graphic Design Internship
- Arts United – Technical Production Internship
- The History Center – Historical Collection/Education Program Internship
- Fort Wayne Museum of Art – Pre K-12 Internship
- Fort Wayne Museum of Art – Curatorial Internship
Arts United’s Amplify Art! initiative will provide funding for the following:
- African/African American History Museum – History of Hip-Hop
- Artlink – North Anthony Mural
- Fort Wayne Free Art Collective – The Brass Rail Mural
- Fort Wayne Sister Cities – Taizhou Opera
- Fort4Fitness – Art on the Run
- Riverfront Fort Wayne – Faces of the Fort
- Riverfront Fort Wayne – Water Trail Maps
- Riverfront Fort Wayne, Cinema Center and Living Fort
- Wayne – Surprise Cinema
- YLNI Foundation – Weather the Fort
