A Muncie-based nonprofit says it is shutting down a camp that has served children with disabilities for 60 years. The Star Press reports Hillcroft Services Inc. can no longer afford to operate Camp Isanogel. The organization took over management of the camp in 2007.

Chief Executive Officer Debbie Bennett says reduced state funding for other programs, lower attendance and building repairs forced “some hard decisions.”

She says nearly all attendees received some sort of financial aid to offset the $600 camp admission.
