The acquisition, the company’s first since rebranding under the ONI name more than a year ago, is valued at more than $1 million.
ONI says the Green Owens team, which consists of fewer than 10 employees, will join more than 300 serving clients throughout Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky at ONI. Jim Wise, partner and principal agent of Green Owens, says his firm’s clients will continue to work with the same people following the acquisition.
"Green Owens has succeeded for 38 years with an unshakable reputation for customer service and support," said Tom Flynn, chief executive officer of ONI. "In exploring this partnership with Jim Wise, Connie Hawkins and their team, we saw potential to help them continue their growth with stronger regional and national backing, while building our core business and capitalizing on providing expanded services within specific industry segments, where both firms share expertise."
ONI Risk Partners was formerly known as Old National Insurance. The company was acquired in July 2016 by Georgia-based Prime Risk Partners Inc. in a $93 million deal and renamed ONI Risk Partners.
