OneZone Named ‘Chamber of The Year’

OneZone in Hamilton County has been named the 2016 Outstanding Chamber of the Year by the Indiana Chamber Executives Association. The award is given to a chamber of commerce that "displays organizational excellence and accomplishments" in leadership and governance, finance, advocacy and membership development.

OneZone touted many of its achievements while in consideration for the award. They included the merger of the Carmel and Fishers chambers in 2015, the first-year increase of 185 members and the formation of a state advocacy committee, among others.

"Our staff has worked very hard throughout and after the merger,” said OneZone President Mo Merhoff. “They and our board deserve congratulations for their super efforts.”

Following the merger of the Fishers and Carmel chambers, OneZone became the fourth-largest chamber in the state with 1,300 members.
