Subscribe NowA longtime, locally-owned pharmacy in southeast Indiana has officially opened its new location in New Albany. Mathes Pharmacy, which has a second location in Georgetown, demolished the old New Albany store and built the new one on the same property. Construction began about a year ago.
The business was founded in 1931. The son of the original owner, Jon Mathes, sold his part of the business to long-time employee Jon Dones in 2004. The New Albany and Georgetown locations serve as pharmacies, medical supply stores and diabetes centers.
