News Release

Kalamazoo, Mich. — Phil Harbert has joined Old National Bank (NYSE: ONB) as president of the company's new Michigan region. Old National recently entered the Michigan market with the acquisition of 20 former Bank of America branches in Southwestern Michigan, plus four additional banking centers in Northern Indiana. All 24 branches opened as Old National banking centers on July 15.

“We are thrilled that Phil Harbert has joined Old National as our first Michigan Region president,” said Dan Doan, Old National Northern Region CEO. “With his extensive financial industry experience and intimate knowledge of the Southwestern Michigan market, Phil is the ideal leader to help introduce our unique, service-focused brand of community banking to Southwestern Michigan clients.”

“I'm so excited to be part of the Old National family,” said Harbert. “Old National is a natural fit for Michigan as we look to grow, and our local team is ready to help meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our diversified client base.”

Prior to joining Old National, Harbert was with 1st Source Bank for 28 years where he most recently served as president for the Kalamazoo region. In his new role, he will oversee Old National’s recently acquired banking centers while also establishing a team of relationship managers and other business line partners to serve new clients and prospects in its Michigan Region. Old National’s newly acquired Southwestern Michigan banking centers are located in the communities of Adrian, Battle Creek, Benton Harbor, Blissfield, Brooklyn, Constantine, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Niles, Paw Paw, Portage and St. Joseph.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Harbert lives in Kalamazoo with his wife Deborah and son Will, who attends Michigan State University. Harbert is active in the Kalamazoo community and served as the area's 2012 United Way campaign chairman.
