Indianapolis-based Ogletree Deakins has promoted Vanessa Russell to director of recruiting and retention. She previously served as senior manager of recruiting and retention. In this new role, Russell is responsible for the firm’s overall recruiting strategy, budgets, and leading the firm’s national campaigns for growth, talent and retention. She will continue to develop the firm’s recruitment team and integrate new technologies to recruit talent at all levels of the attorney and professional staff ranks.

Russell joined the firm five years ago as a recruiting coordinator. She has a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication and a double minor in French and American English Literature from Miami University.
