Officials Unveil Plan 2020 Bicentennial Agenda

As the city of Indianapolis prepares for its bicentennial, Mayor Joe Hogsett has detailed a plan that aims to usher in a new era for the city. The more than 130-page Plan 2020 Bicentennial Agenda focuses on the city’s "ability to make life better for residents and business owners today and in the future."

The plan consists of six major themes: Choose Indy, Connect Indy, Love Indy, Serve Indy, Thrive Indy and Work Indy. Hogsett said he will continue to support the plan, even if his run as mayor ends after his first term in 2019.

"You have the commitment of this administration that we will work collaboratively with all of you, the leaders, the community organizations and groups to make sure that we as a community stay committed to fulfilling these important promises," said Hogsett.

The Bicentennial Agenda was developed by the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee. You can learn more about Plan 2020 as a whole by clicking here.

Despite draining hospital stays and distressing procedures, these young ones always shone bright, their resilient spirits undeniably inspiring....
