Granger-based Office Interiors is growing its portfolio with the acquisition of HDW Commercial Interiors in Merrillville. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Both companies provide interior design and furnishing services for commercial clients, including those in the healthcare, government, and education markets.
Office Interiors said in a news release this week that the acquisition unites “two long-standing friendships and visions” in northern Indiana.
“This is a natural progression for our companies and the communities we serve,” Office Interiors President Rob Meyers said in the release. “We both place client values at the core of our work, making this union a perfect match.”
A spokesperson for Office Interiors said all six of HDW’s employees will be retained, bringing the combined company’s total employee headcount to 57.
Rita Bacevich, former president of HDW Commercial Interiors, will continue with Office Interiors as director of strategic initiatives for northwest Indiana.
“This alliance broadens our product and service lines while offering extended value to clients,” Bacevich said in the release. “We can now offer full turnkey solutions for interior projects…from initial planning/budget/design stages through procurement and installation of all interior products, including furniture, audiovisual systems, flooring/wall/window treatments, and accessories…concept through completion.”
HDW will continue under the Office Interiors umbrella following the acquisition. Office Interiors said clients of both companies can expect a seamless integration of services.
