NSWC Crane Partners With Naval Academy Each multi-year agreement includes the potential for increased scope and funding levels.

Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane and the U.S. Naval Academy have launched a partnership. The agreement will give midshipmen at the Naval Academy the opportunity for internships at NSWC Crane.

The partnership was initiated by Senator Todd Young (R-IN). Young says the internships will not only help prepare midshipmen for service in the fleet and also boost Crane’s "innovative support to our warfighters and our national security."

"We are excited to have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the United States Naval Academy," said Captain Mark Oesterreich, Commanding Officer at NSWC Crane. "Having midshipmen at Crane will allow us to expose them to the many technical capabilities we’ve developed while also providing them with the opportunity to have a direct impact on the Fleet they will join upon graduation."

NSWC Crane is located on the third-largest naval installation in the world.
