Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. President John DeSalle has been appointed the first executive engineer in residence at the University of Notre Dame’s newly-created iNDustry Labs. DeSalle will visit companies, discuss industry challenges and identify resources through the LIFT Network to drive regional industry advancement.

iNDustry Labs was established earlier this year  to connect research facilities, experiential learning programs and dedicated expertise to regional industry and educational partners of the university.

DeSalle joined Hoosier Racing in 1988, developing radial race tire technology. He has held many roles within the company, including managing all of Hoosier’s tire engineering, environmental/safety/health activities, plant engineering, employee training, test labs and plant scheduling.

He was appointed president of Hoosier when the company was acquired by Continental Tire the Americas in 2016.
