The University of Notre Dame and Maryland-based Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) have signed a Master Research Agreement to collaborate on advanced aerospace research. The two have previously partnered on a variety of research projects, but Notre Dame says the agreement formalizes a long-term relationship.
Notre Dame says the agreement is expected to “catalyze the development of new research collaborations.”
“It represents a major step forward in Notre Dame’s footprint in aerospace research; we are grateful to have Lockheed Martin as a trusted partner in this growth,” said Robert Bernhard, vice president for research and professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering at Notre Dame.
Lockheed Martin says the agreement will benefit Notre Dame faculty and students in aerospace engineering and related research.
