Notre Dame Security Police has promoted Philip Johnson and Keri Shibata. Johnson has been promoted to senior director of campus safety and emergency management and Shibata will take his place as chief of NDSP. Johnson has served as chief since 2007 and for the past two years has also directed Notre Dames emergency management efforts. He joined NDSP in 1986 as assistant director and became associate director in 2005. Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology and his master’s degree in business administration from Notre Dame. Shibata has been with NDSP for 12 years. She most recently served as deputy chief for safety services. Shibata earned her bachelor’s degree from Bethel College and is a graduate of Notre Dame’s Executive MBA Program.
