Northern Indiana Bus Company Adds Fort Wayne Business

Mishawaka-based Royal Excursion has acquired a charter bus company in Fort Wayne. The St. Joseph County transportation provider says all 64 Excursion Trailways employees will be brought on and founders Thomas Bazow and Pat O’Brian will take on executive positions with Royal Excursion.
Terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed. Royal Excursion President Shannon Kaser says "our mission has always been to offer a diverse selection of quality ground transportation, the highest level of safety, customer service, reliability, flexibility, honesty, and of course, tremendous value. With this transaction, our company now serves valued customers across Northern Indiana and Ohio, and we will be adding to our corps of professional drivers with new job openings."
Excursions Trailways has locations in Allen County and northwest Ohio. Its customers include athletic teams, church groups and student and family groups. Bazow says "we started our company more than 17 years ago with the goal of being the most reliable and well-run bus company in the industry. That focus continues and will carry on as we join Royal Excursion."
Royal Excursion has a fleet of more than 80 vehicles and over 200 employees.
