News Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. — The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership announced today that Dale Buuck, vice president of business development, will be traveling to Germany, Switzerland and Italy for a two week sales trip later this month. The trip stems from the continued interest of European manufacturers who want to open facilities in the Midwest.

As a result of relationships cultivated over the years, the Partnership was able to organically generate 12 meetings with potential prospects and not purchase any of the leads needed for this trip. The trip builds on the momentum established several weeks ago when Buuck attended the Select USA Summit in Washington DC, an event that brought together prospects from all over Europe, Asia and South America.

During the Europe trip, Buuck will attend a medical device show in Stuttgart, Germany, and then meet with individual companies who are interested in the strength of the orthopedic industry in Northeast Indiana. He will also meet with several metal fabrication and foundry operations in Germany and Italy.

“Indiana has seen hundreds of millions of dollars of investment come from foreign companies over the past several years,” said Buuck. “The Partnership wants to ensure that Northeast Indiana remains top of mind for foreign investors and continue to show them that our region should definitely be a contender when it comes time to deciding where they should locate their next operation.”
