Another northeast Indiana race track has prematurely ended its season. A week after the venue's promoter resigned, the Gas City I-69 Speedway website says it won't host any more races the rest of the summer. The 1/4 mile dirt track features sprint, midget, thunder car and modified vehicles. The season ordinarily runs through next month.

Last month Baer Field Speedway in Fort Wayne shut its doors, citing falling attendance and negativity from some drivers.
