North Manchester Store to Close After 80+ Years

A longstanding furniture store in Wabash County will soon be closing. Our partners at WPTA-TV report Harting Furniture Gallery in North Manchester has announced plans to shut its doors after 86 years in business, following a final sale.

The store opened in 1933 by Harry and Byron Harting. The current owners told the station the decision to close was a difficult one.

A going out of business sale is slated to begin Thursday. The building that houses the store is also for sale.
