Fort Wayne, Ind. — As of Friday, November 7th, the first pieces of steel were being erected for the Turnstone of Tomorrow expansion project. As this project picks up momentum we want to thank a couple of our generous supporters.
Wednesday, November 12th at 3:30pm we invite the media to see what progress has been made and to hear from a couple of our supporters.
Turnstone is proud to have Indiana Michigan Power/AEP Foundation and Sweetwater Sound who have committed significant dollars to our project that will allow for us to expand our services and programs.
“Indiana Michigan Power, on behalf of the AEP Foundation, is pleased to help Turnstone significantly expand to offer more services to more people,” said Paul Chodak III, President and Chief Operating Officer. “Because of Turnstone, children and adults with disabilities can gain the valuable experience of team athletics. Veterans with disabilities have the opportunity to play sports.” “Turnstone truly empowers people with disabilities, enriching the quality of life of not just participants but all of northeast Indiana. I&M and the AEP Foundation are proud to support Turnstone,” Chodak said.
“My wife Lisa and I, and the more than 750 employees of Sweetwater, are honored to support Turnstone's expansion project. Supporting organizations who serve people with disabilities has been a high priority for us for many years. Turnstone's vision, as expressed in this incredible project, will result in a huge expansion in its ability to serve clients through a variety of sports programs. We're delighted to play a small part in helping that vision become a reality” said Chuck Surack.
“The AEP Foundation's generous gift through Indiana Michigan Power as well as Sweetwater Sounds gift plays a significant role in building this needed expansion at Turnstone,” said Turnstone CEO Nancy Louraine. “We deeply appreciate Indiana Michigan Power's & Sweetwater Sound's support and community involvement.
