Hamilton County and the city of Noblesville will this morning cut the ribbon on the final phase of the Riverwalk trail project. The overall effort, which began in 2008, aims to create a scenic walkway along the White River.

Phase One created the trail running from the Hamilton County employee parking lot underneath the State Road 32 bridge and up to the Judicial Center. Phase Two extended the trail under the Logan Street bridge. Phase Three, which broke ground in November, links Conner and Logan streets, connecting the two previously-completed sections.

The project was originally pitched by Hamilton County Commissioner Steve Dillinger. Commissioner Christine Altman and Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear will join Dillinger at this morning’s event.
