The project is part of NIPSCO’s IN-Charge Around Town program, which aims to make alternative fuels more accessible to drivers in northern Indiana.
The program was launched in 2014 and, to date, has deployed 159 EV charging ports at more than 60 locations throughout northern Indiana. The program offered incentives to help cover the up-front costs of public charging stations, as well as installation costs and software subscriptions.
Officials will cut the ribbon on the EV charging station at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. You can learn more about the IN-Charge program by clicking here.
