Nice-Pak set to be acquired by St. Louis company

New York-based Nice-Pak Products, a manufacturer of wet wipes with a large presence in central Indiana, is set to be acquired by Vivos Holdings LLC, a consumer package goods company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Richard Koulouris, CEO of Vivos Holdings parent Emprise Group Inc., says the acquisition will be a seamless transition for customers.
“This will broaden the combined company’s portfolio of private brand and co-manufactured hygiene and personal care products, extend its geographic footprint into Europe, and accelerate product development with industry-leading innovation capabilities,” Koulouris said in a news release.
Nice-Pak operates a production facility in Mooresville with 330 employees, as well as a fulfillment center in Plainfield with about 100 employees.
Alice Clark, chief human resources officer with Emprise Group, said there are no immediate changes to facilities or staffing planned.
“While we’re still in the early stages of this transaction and are evaluating the needs for local hiring and investment, we are focused on leveraging this transaction to promote growth, innovation, and long-term value for both our customers and our employees,” Clark said.
The acquisition is expected to close next month, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Nice-Pak CEO Gary Giles said he is excited for the move.
“Being part of this combined organization will diversify Nice-Pak’s business, accelerate our growth plans, continue the investment in our associates and further our commitment to being a leading provider of innovative solutions that allow consumers to live cleaner, healthier lives,” Giles said in the release.
Nice-Pak employs about 1,500 people across its entire footprint.
