An Indianapolis-based sports consultant says that while the National Football League remains dominant in revenue and popularity, it is facing potential threats to its business model. U/S Sports Advisors President Ken Ungar says the danger of concussions is one of the biggest issues the league must continue to examine. He says off-field player misbehavior is also affecting the league's brand. In an interview on this weekend's edition of Inside INdiana Business Television, Ungar said the NFL must also focus on growing its female audience. Ungar says the NFL has done a good job of becoming a year-round sport. He says events such as the draft, free agency and training camp keep the sport relevant between the Super Bowl and opening day.

He is also bullish on the Indianapolis Colts, saying if the team was a stock, “I'd buy.” He says the team has experienced a 95 percent season ticket renewal rate and “double digit sponsorship growth.”

U/S Sports Advisors announced plans in August to expand its headquarters and add up to 36 jobs by 2018. The sports and entertaining marketing agency says it will invest more than $1 million in the project.
