A group of Indiana newspapers has named Cheryl Lindus vice president. The industry veteran will lead digital efforts for the Indiana Media Group, which oversees The Palladium-Item in Richmond, The Star Press in Muncie, and The Journal & Courier in Lafayette. All three newspapers are owned by Gannett Co. Inc (NYSE: GCI).

Lindus most recently served as director of sales for the group. She began her newspaper career in Muncie in 1983. She has worked at Gannett newspapers in West Virginia, Missouri and Alabama. She came back to Muncie four years ago to serve as general manager of The Star Press.
