The planned pedestrian walkway connecting Terre Haute and West Terre Haute is progressing. Our partners at WTHI-TV report Vigo County commissioners have signed an agreement with the Indiana Department of Transportation for the design of the walkway.
The walkway will be built along U.S. 150 over the Wabash River. Vigo County has paid $250,000 so far and is scheduled to pay $1.4 million more when construction starts, which could be nearly a year away. The project is expected to take at least a year to complete.
